Domains Safe Haven Investment

There is no need for a Government Bail Out for the Internet or the Domain Name Industry.
While stocks and property prices plummet and Household Name Corporations implode the Internet is increasing in size and affluence daily.
Likewise people investing in QUALITY domain names are still making a killing in both reselling and utilizing attractive domain names as advertising vehicles. ROI (return on investment) is strikingly attractive – exceeding double digits per annum – and some newly registered domains are regularly being turned over within a matter of months for more than a 100% profit.
So if you want to get into a low cost safe haven investment you have to look far and wide to get a better opportunity than a Domain Name.
The Domain Exchange was established towards the end of 2008 to promote the development of Aftermarket sales and Internet Commerce.
If you are an entrepreneurial type and would like to affiliate with an attractive brand – DOMAIN EXCHANGE – you may contact them at present at domainsbankers@gmail.com

Domain Name Investing

According to a recent study, the average domain name bought and sold by domain name investors realized a 377% profit. In addition, the average domain name was sold in 12.5 months. Domain Name investment has now become big business.

Domain name investing involves getting domain names that appear valuable, and waiting with the domain in hopes that someone will want to purchase it in the future. They may be newly registered by the investor or purchased off someone else in the AfterMarket. With a great domain name like business.com , fund.com or sex.com, this can yield huge returns. Business.com was sold for over $7 million, fund.com and sex.com for over $9million each.

When domain name investors buy a domain name, they often put up a webpage indicating that the domain is for sale. This becomes a sort of free advertising, whereby someone interested in that domain name will naturally check out the site to see if it is a competitor, or if the domain can be purchased.

But selling the domain is not the only way domain name investors make money. In addition to advertising that the domain is for sale, most domain investors park their domains with a domain sponsoring service. These services store a domain with a simple website for free, and place content sensitive advertising on the parking pages. They share advertising revenue with the owner of the domain. In this way, domain name investors get free website hosting for their domains, along with occasional advertising revenue.

While in the past some investors have made significant money from parking domains the revenue which most parked domains generate from advertising clicks is now quite meagre. Thus new styles of advertising is becoming more popular with referral selling sponsored by firms like Clickbank.com and CPA (Cash per Action) remuneration plans.

There are important considerations that must be taken into account before embarking on a domain name investment career. While it is always advisable to purchase any really high quality domain name available, actually making a stable income from domain name investment can require significant resources. It will cost a considerable amount to purchase the domain names necessary to make a stable income, and it is certainly no get-rich-quick opportunity.

As a domain name investor, you need to carefully analyze the domain name registrars and communicate with them about bulk purchasing opportunities. A domain name investor will be buying many – perhaps even hundreds – of domain names daily, and should therefore find the best discounts on domain names. Many registrars will allow for domain names to be purchased in bulk at substantial discounts. Taking advantage of these opportunities could be the difference between success and failure at this type of enterprise.

Deciding which domain names to purchase can be challenging. It is very difficult to find high quality .com names. But don’t rule out country-specific extensions. As countries get their own extensions, a new world of high quality available domain names is opened up to investors. New top level domains are being created all the time, and most recently a .jobs domain name was created. A name like computer.jobs could prove very valuable in the long term.

While a lot has been mentioned of purchasing names like Microsoft.com, this practice is not particularly productive. Trademark laws allow corporations with trademarked names to take domain names that violate their trademarks. So rather than getting a big paycheck for registering a company’s trademarked name, you’re likely to be served with a lawsuit demanding you forfeit the name to them.

Domain name investment should be viewed in the same way with other investment opportunities. There are risks and rewards. Like all investments domain name investment returns will be predicated on the wisdom and decision making skills of the investor.

The Domain Exchange is now a fact.

It is still early days – but the Domain Exchange has now been born and resides at www.DomainExchange.net

There is a lot of work in front for this exciting endeavour in what is truly an amazing industry. Don’t be disillusioned by the temporary site being undeveloped. It was put up simply to let domainers know that the Domain Exchange has been created – and there are many miles ahead before it can function in full bloom.

The Domain Exchange is legally registered with the Hong Kong government as a society to enable members to invest in and trade domain names, fractional domains, domain funds investments and domain annuities. There are various categories of membership depending on whether you wish to be a Domain Exchange Broker – Dealer Principal or IB, investor or student.

Member firms may offer their products and services to members through the monthly Domain Exchange News letter, Domain Exchange Websites, or in selective emails on requests for information.
To become a member you simply have to purchase a domain from the Domain Exchange – which can be for as little as $2. As long as your registration with the Domain Exchange is current your membership remains valid.

If you are interested in getting involved in the Domain Exchange at this early stage then you should contact a foundation member – or email to this address: DomainExchange@domainersbankers.net

There is a new industry still relatively in its infancy - where
investment returns average 6000%
on Capital Gains and 10% per day income returns.
If you spend much time on the internet you should be aware of the
Domaining Industry - which is a coined word for Buying Selling and
Developing Domain Names.
A new Dot Com domain name can be registered for around $7 and through
Pay Per Click advertising you can earn 70 cents a day - which amounts
to 10% daily. If you build a portfolio of any size to manage for
clients then you can be sitting on a Gold Mine.
For Example: Say you raise $20million from investors and the
underlying daily return is 10%. Then the Capital can double every week
if you reinvest income daily into additional domains.
Obviously there are costs - for hosting and management - it will be
vital that you employ a team of professionals to design and maintain
the websites, generate traffic and attend to the placement of
advertisements on the websites.
And certainly it is down time if you attempt to attend to all of those
things yourself instead of specialising in one aspect and have a team
of specialists, So let's just say that after costs the net monthly
return drops to 11% for the month.
Do you think it would be reasonable for the investor to let you as
broker retain say just 1% as a performance fee? In which case the
Investors return is a neat 10% a month. Thus in 7 months the capital
would have doubled through reinvestment.
1% a month in the early stage would be 1% of $20mill - which is
$200,000. Not bad as a starting salary.
Then by month 7 even if you did not introduce any additional new
capital because funds under management would then be $40mill you would
be earning $400,000 a month and by middle of the following year you
could be earning $800,000 a month.
However if you as a broker were to introduce say $20mill of fresh
capital each year then your monthly earnings would skyrocket
exponentially.
Of course there are limiting factors.
1. How long would it take for you to raise $20mill from investors?...
Well even if it took you a whole year and you could survive until the
start of year 2 then the above numbers would apply!
2. There is no guarantee that each of your Domains will generate the
amount of traffic suggested.
True - that is why allowance has been made for costs - and the need to
build a team of specialists to manage the processes - so there can be
more certainty in the returns.
3. What if people stop advertising on the internet? Well you could say
what if the Internet Disappeared ?! Forecasts are for increased
Internet Advertising - not less. And that business has been doubling
every 5 years. So it may even be possible for your business to double
its revenue per website every 5 years too!
4. Can I do this business without work? Get real - you want to earn
$800,000 a month and expect not to have to work at it? For that sort
of money you should be prepared to work day and night for 2 years ....
How much would you be able to accumulate if you kept your household
budget where it is and saved the surplus?
5. I don't want to put any of my own money into this! If you are not
prepared to put your own money in to this business how are you going
to convince others to? What do you say when a potential investor asks
HOW MUCH of YOUR OWN MONEY did you put in??
6. Oh I'm scared, This can't be real, it must be a scam. I've heard
about schemes like this ... or It's got to be ILLEGAL!
WAKE UP - this is REALITY. You have seen the internet, open your eyes,
look around, see what is happening. Become part of it.

If you have the courage and want to make more money than you can ever
spend in your entire life and do it in the next 2 years send an email
to the address shown on the following website: www.domainsbankers.com

DOMAIN ANNUITIES – the Best Investment Today!

Investing in income producing Domain Names is currently the most profitable investment you can make. It also has one of the lowest risks and can be likened to Commercial Property Investing.
Domain Names are like Virtual Real Estate in that a Domain is a place on the internet. The Commercial Element is that through their ability to earn revenue from advertisers and to sell products and services to internet customers attractive Domain Names and Websites with a lot of traffic (web visitors) have become extremely valuable property.

For more information on this topic have a look at www.DomainsBankers.com
If you want to acquire a Domain Annuity with income streams of around 1% per week – 52% per annum then you should email invest@domainsbankers.net

I thought I would reprint a comment I made on another blog which related the current domain name industry to the days of the California Gold rush. While the sellers of picks and shovels in those days made a lot more than most gold prospectors the opportunities offered today in domaining allow prospectors to carry off big chunks of gold and to sell shovels and picks. In fact if you go buy yourself a real cheap domain name at www.spiderduck.com you can start mining gold immediately. If you need a hand prospecting then you are welcome to drop back here regularly or to join us at www.domainsbankers.com

Anyway here is the reprint which sets it all out:
“An interesting perspective – how about combining the gold with the picks and shovels. I was interested firstly with the word GOLD as it has skyrocketed in value (I doubt though that the picks or shovels have gone up in price at all. More likely they have gone down in price.).

Then I was interested to see where the train went with people on computers and doing business on the internet – as the internet really is a pot of GOLD. And Domains Investing is the ultimate straight to the vein way to make money on the internet – by selling the internet picks, shovels and pots of Gold.
Just look at Domain Names! You can buy TLDs (Top Level Domains) for under $10 – and then resell for $50, $600, $3,000, $30,000, $160,000, $1million, $3million, $10million.
These are the prices names have been reselling for over the past couple of years. Last year CreditCard.com ws resold twice – first for $1million and then resold again for $3million (A nice quick profit). This year sale of Fund.com completed for just under $10million. And most people have heard by now that Sex.com and Porn.com were sold for millions too.

Bottom line though is – a Domain Name is first like a Pick and Shovel: You can make money with it daily using it as part of your business, generating revenue – either for the products you sell or just using it as an advertising device to promote other peoples products.
But the real Gold in Domain Names is being able to resell them for margins eclipsing what gold and forex have done in the last 2 years. The average resale value of Domain Names now is $600. So the potential ROI (return on Investment) is around 6000%. Now if that is not enough try calculating the ROI for Domains selling for hundreds of thousands and millions of dollars.

Maybe having realised that you need a chair to sit in – or likely a bed to have a lay down. But don’t sleep for too long. Now it is the time to get in to the Domains business. You can get your own pick and shovel, sell picks and shovels to others, and also mine pots of gold. Why wait?

Choosing a Domain Name

How do you choose a Good Domain Name?

A domain name is your identity online. Your domain name can literally make or break you. Choosing a good one is of absolute importance.

Several key factors need to be kept in mind when choosing a domain name. Today it is hard to match your domain name to your business name. Every English word in the dictionary has already been taken.

Every month a staggering number of domains are registered. Currently running at 72 millions domain name registrations monthly means that several millions are being registered daily. As a consequence it is becoming harder to find a good dot com domain not already registered. THEREFORE You need to be well informed before choosing a domain name. I t is common practice to first get the domain name you want online and then to name the company after the domain name. As it is easier to get a traditional company name registered than a domain name, it makes sense then sometimes to reverse the order of things.

What do you need to know about choosing a domain name?

It boils down to choosing a domain name that best can describe the service and products offered will have an advantage over one that does not.

Is the name easy to pronounce and easy to spell and does it match your brand?

Does it match your company name or the brand of product you sell? Some believe that you need to try and keep your domain name and your company or brand name the same if you can. When you market or promote your product you are essentially killing two birds with one stone. It’s always a good idea that the name you choose will be easy to spell and easy to repeat. The reason for this is because a lot of promotion of your website gets around by word of mouth and this in itself will build your brand. You certainly want to have your visitor remember your domain name in this instance.

If you are trying to create branding or already have a strong following that are familiar with your brand then getting a name matching your company name or brand of product will be a great idea.(that is if you can get it). Strong branding is usually built over time and can be very expensive for the new business person just starting out, so you may want to consider targeting your domain naming to keyword or service specific terms.

Is a shorter name better?

Not necessarily. A short domain name may be easy to remember if the word is not cryptic. For example: xstl.com would probably be harder to remember than extend.com. You need to remember that people must associate the name with something.

A longer name like extendyourhome.com may also be easy to remember, if your site is about extending homes. The key here is not necessarily how long a name is but how well will people a) Associate it with you b) Remember it

What about hyphened names?

There are many people who will tell you to get a hyphened name because the search engines will treat it better and you’ll get better rankings. This is in part (very small part) true but we come back again to the fact that you want the name to be easy to speak and to remember. Trying to say extend hyphen your hyphen home.com may be a little confusing. However for marketing solely online it should not harm you if you kept your hyphenated words to a maximum of 2 and try using related keywords will also help your cause.

The best alternative if you want a hyphened domain name is to get both the hyphened and non-hyphened name. (if you can.) This way you are able to market the one and send customers to the other. A word of caution here though: This could affect you in the search engines because it could be construed as a doorway page. Even though it may not be malicious or intended to spam the search engines. People have abused this by registering a bunch of domain names and redirecting the visitor to another page. Either way, whichever of those domain names they actually type into the browser, they’ll end up at the same page. Be careful of duplicating or mirroring sites that refer to each other. This can get you penalized.

Should I use my brand name for the domain name?

If you are building a name around your brand and have spent money in traditional advertising then it would be a good idea to try and get a domain name with your brand name. If people already know your brand through traditional sales and ads then why would you think they will try and search for an unrelated name to get to your website? If I have a sports shoe called “superfine” and it’s become well known, then I would expect anyone going online to type “superfine” to find my shoes.

One caveat though, make sure that you will not be infringing on anyone’s trademarked name. If your product is not trademarked you may open yourself up to a lawsuit. The technical details of this can be quite daunting so consult a legal professional first.

What about keywords in my domain name?

It is helpful to some extent to have a keyword in your domain name that reflects what you sell. For example. I sell sports shoes and shoes.com is, as you’ve probably guessed.. taken. If I chose a domain name I would probably want to find out what the most common search phrases are surrounding shoes. (There are web marketing tools out there that will help you with keywords and stats) Once I have those phrases I may decide to incorporate that into my name.

So for example, the word hiking was the most searched for term in relation to shoes, you may want to structure your domain name around that term, and make sure that your website makes use of those phrases also. (providing of course, that you actually sold hiking shoes).

The main objective here is that you want to maintain as much relevance as possible. This obviously does not apply to those names that are named around a brand. In those instances you will want your web pages to have relevant content related to the terms people will be searching for to find your product and products like yours.

Some things to remember about domain names:

You do not own it. Your domain name can expire if you are not careful to renew when your term is up and someone else may snatch it up, so hold onto it.

Make a list of domain names you would like to have first, then go and do a search for them at any domain registration site. Try and get as many variations of your domain as you can afford. I’ve already mentioned the hyphened example above.

Go for the .com names first and get other extensions like .net and .us if you can too. Do your homework! Research is probably the single most important thing you can do for your website. Absorb as much info as you possibly can and you will be better equipped to make decisions that will benefit your web site.

MAGIC in Numbers MAKES MILLIONS

In the last Blog I mentioned a guy named Kevin Ham – he built a $300 million
dollar empire around Domains Names. “Business 2.0″ did a full feature on him. Although his Domain Names only earn him 63 cents a day – since the year 2000, he has acquired a domain name portfolio of over 300,000 domain names and he receives $70 million a year in revenue.

Here is HOW he did it ….. $70 Million Revenue a a year – that’s about $5.8 million per month. You may think is impossible to achieve. But follow me step by step…
Break it down into a per domain calculation:
$5,800,000 divided by 300,000 domain names turns out to be only $19 per month per domain.
Can you achieve that? Ok, now break it down even smaller.
A domain name is making $19.00 per month. If you divide $19.00 by 30 days in a month, it means he is making 63 cents per day per domain.
That is all it takes to build a $300 million empire.
Don’t you believe that is achievable by every one of us?

So, how do YOU make money as domainers? For the moment consider a faster way to build up capital than just relying on advertising clicks. Once your capital has increased and you have built a portfolio of domain names then after that has occurred you can sit back and just earn income passively from advertising clicks.

The second way the smaller domainers — people like you and me — make fast money is to sell to bigger domainers. If we have a name that is popular name, we turn around and sell it.
We “flip” domains just like investor “flips” real estate.
You buy a domain name for $6.99 plus 20 cents to ICANN – makes it just over $7 and you turn around and sell it for $660 …

The third way that money is being made is that names which are proven to be
performers — traffic performers — are developed into full-scale businesses.

This is called the “development model” and we’ll have a whole Blog devoted to it.

Kevin Ham regularly goes to Domain Name auctions – and spends hundreds of thousands of dollars each time.

This is what Kevin Ham is paying for domain names when he buys from a smaller player -

He bought the name HotelDeals.com for $171, 250. And if you go look at it, it’s a parking page. We’ll talk more about how to set up a parking page in these Blogs or you might want to accelerate your learning by contacting www.domainsbankers.com sooner.

Kevin Ham knows all about “type in traffic.” In the article that we saw in “Business 2.0, ” he talks about WeddingShoes.com. His site offers all types of wedding shoe merchant services or searches:

Kevin Ham paid $26,250 for the name FruitGiftBaskets.com…and again, it’s just a parked page. He now generates passive income through pay-per-click ads, domain parking.

The beauty of this business is that anyone can enter, especially you. Especially now, since you have this Blog. So let’s get started NOW!

Revisit here regularly so I can show you the way.

To begin

You have to have an understanding of the terms – “the lingo” in this industry.

The first term to understand is “direct navigation,” or “type-in traffic.” Both terms are used interchangeably. It is the traffic you receive when a web surfer types in a descriptive phrase followed by a.com in their browser address bar.
So it is, basically, when someone types a generic name into their browser’s address field.
When they are taken to that website, they are considered “direct navigation” or “type in traffic.”
So if you were to go into a browser and type in “saturdayracing.com” you will be taken to a site (saturdayracing.com) which is a pay-per-click site. It is simply a parked page – generating income daily.

So why is this direct navigation or type-in traffic so valuable? Well, it’s free. It bypasses the search engines. You don’t have to pay for pay-per-click. There’s no need to run ad campaigns. People are coming to that parked page by just typing the name into the browser window.
There’s no fear of click fraud. When someone comes to your site, they have come by typing the name into the browser bar and that’s it.

You don’t have to worry about search engine optimization.
You don’t have to worry about gaming the system.

You’re not at the mercy of the Google gods or the Yahoo! Gods or the MSN gods or any of them. Because, the visitor is coming by typing the name straight into the address bar.
It’s highly-targeted traffic. In fact, your visitor is actively seeking you out.

Research has shown that 86% or online consumers reach websites through type-in navigation. (source: UCLA study entitled “Analysis of User Web Traffic with a Focus of Web Activities)
67% of daily global Internet users arrive at websites solely by type-in navigation. (source: WebSiteStory, Inc.)
Direct navigation is being used!
More than two-thirds of internet surfers use direct navigation to arrive at a site. So it’s high quality traffic.
People are coming because they’re actively looking for what they’ve typed in.

Direct navigation is the largest untapped market for paid search advertisers
and ad agencies. It is believed that it has a current stigma among advertisers, but that it is going to grow and more and more people are going to be seeking it out.
So, it is time to cash in on direct navigation type-in traffic – Now!

How to make SQUILLIONS from Name Domaining

There are several ways to make money in Domain Names.

1. Generate income from advertisements run on your website, including sales of products which you might also promote as a referrer or reseller.

2. Flipping Domains – in the same way houses are turned over for quick profits; and

3. Development – building a website into a fully fledged business.

In the June, 2007 issue of “Business 2.0,” a man named Kevin Ham was on the cover. They profiled him as the most powerful dot com mogul you’ve never heard about. Yet he was earning only 63cents a day. Now you know you could do that don’t you?! Great – if you have the confidence and take the step to buy your first domain name – or more then all it takes for you to become like Kevin Ham is to be able to make your Domain Name earn 63cents a day. It is really that simple.

Okay so how are you going to earn 63 cents a day with your domain name? You probably already have an idea – Yes that is right – you just put up a website and earn money from people clicking on advertisements which you have installed there. Now just look at the returns you would be making -

EXAMPLE: Say you buy your new domain name (make it catchy so people will want to visit your site) and it costs you $10 (you can get it far cheaper from people like www.spiderduck.com but $10 makes the arithmetic more easy to follow). When you earn 63 cents a day you are making 6.3% Return on your investment. Now again just for the sake of easier numbers I want you to imagine that your earnings rate is actually 70 cents a day so that you make 7% a day – and consider that you actually buy more than one domain name so that you will have a little bit more working capital available to be able to reinvest your earnings. That is you plough back your profit into buying more domain names.

Do you know how long it will take you to double your capital? To calculate that just divide the earning rate 7% into the number 72 = 10. In 10 days you will have doubled your capital if every day you ploughed back your income into a new domain. However because with only 70 cents revenue you don’t have enough to buy a new domain – if you take your business seriously and capitalize it with say $140 – you could initially purchase 14 domain names. As you can buy domains far cheaper then you could start your business with even less capital than $140. Therefore let’s just say you have enough capital to start with just 14 domain names initially.

With 14 Domains each earning 70cents a day you will be producing $9.80 total revenue – with which you can buy a new domain name. Now all you need do is repeat the process everyday. In 10 days you should have 28 domain names – in 20 days you should have 56 domain names and so on.

Don’t be alarmed – you do not need to be able to do arithmetic to become a successful Domainer. But it helps to know how much you can be making in how much time. As you may wish to start planning for your new car, holiday, or new house. To make it a bit easier to follow have a look at the table below which shows the build up in domain asset which you can have.

Yes it seems incredible – and it is difficult to comprehend the magnificence of compound returns. Albert Einstein is reported to have said that compounding is the most powerful thing in the universe. Next post – after you have recovered from the shock of the numbers I will tell you more about Kevin Lam – and give you the numbers he has been able to achieve.

Examine the table closely – you will see that you could make half a million dollars within 4 months based on your Purchase Cost of Domains or $40million if you were to liquidate your Domains Business (Domains Businesses can be sold for around 4 times their annual earnings).

Alternatively You could be well and truly retired in under 8 months – by just keeping your domains – living on the domains income: provided you have around $140 cash NOW to start and you learn how to proceed NOW!

That is what you can learn here over time – or more quickly if you contact www.domainsbankers.com directly.

Look at what you could be making in your own domains business:

Number of Number of Value at Cost Daily Revenue

1 14 $140 $10
11 28 $280 $20
